Bio

I am relatively new to Georgia. My father was in the military so I am really from "everywhere". I have been in Georgia for the past 6 years and finally feel that I have laid down roots and found a "home".

I graduated from Ferrum College in Virginia with a degree in Social Work in 2002. Shortly after I realized my calling was teaching students with disabilities and returned to school and received my Masters degree in Special Education. I have been teaching for 13 years and have taught at the Elementary, Middle, and High School levels. I have a Masters Degree in Special Education. Last year I was the recipient of the Special Education Impact Award from Middle Georgia RESA. I am proud of this award as I nominated by my peers.

This is my first year in Houston County Schools and I am excited to be a member of the Westside family! I currently teach Collaborative Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade Reading and Writing I live in Perry with my husband and 5 children. I am looking forward to a wonderful year at Westside with your student!
