I received my Bachelor's degree in 2002 from Ferrum College in Social Work. I received my Masters degree from the University of Phoenix in Special Education in 2005.

I have been teaching for 16 years. I have always taught in the field of Special Education.

My husband is also a teacher. We have 5 children. Our oldest just left to attend Georgia State University.

Shortly after graduating with my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, I realized my calling was teaching students with disabilities. I returned to school and received my Masters degree in Special Education. I love what I do and believe in what I do. My greatest honor was to be the recipient of the Special Education Impact Award from Middle Georgia RESA. I am proud of this award as I nominated by my peers.

This is my 3rd year in Houston County Schools and I love being member of the Westside family! I currently teach 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade Reading and Writing. I am looking forward to a wonderful year at Westside with your student!
