Hello! I’m Mrs. Debraca Tookes, and I’m excited to continue serving the Westside Elementary family! I grew up in Oglethorpe, Georgia, and graduated from Macon County High School in 2010.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education with a Reading Endorsement from Middle Georgia State University, my master’s degree from Valdosta State University, and my specialist degree in Elementary Education from Georgia Southwestern State University in July 2026. I also hold endorsements in Gifted Education, and Coaching.
This is my seventh year in education. I teach fourth grade, serve as the fourth-grade chair, and coach the Classy Cats Dance Team. I love helping students learn, grow, build confidence, and discover their strengths.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Kistal, and our three children, Keldon, Kaylin, and Kaizee.
