I began my teaching career in 1994 with the Bibb County School district, where I taught for 3 years. I then came to Houston County, where I began teaching at Westside Elementary in 1997. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia College in 1994. I received a Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education from Fort Valley State University in 2004. I attended Georgia State University where I received my certification in Reading Recovery. I obtained a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College in 2014. I had the honor of being named Teacher of the Year for the 2020-2021 school year. “It’s So Great To Be a Westside Wildcat!”
