My name is Martisha Colbert. I believe in building a sense of community in a classroom, thus creating an environment that allows for risk taking and student accountability for their learning. High expectations are set for each student, but so is consideration for the unique needs and learning styles each student brings to the classroom. Mistakes are welcome, as it is how we learn our greatest lessons. I invite you to be active in your child's education, as we help them develop academically, socially, and emotionally to be confident learners. I am a graduate from Middle Georgia State College with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education and a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southwestern State University. I'm so grateful to be apart of Westside Elementary School and the opportunity to teach fourth grade.
